Coming into the internship year, I felt ill-equipped in my leadership skills. I had some practice leading in different areas of ministry, but fear controlled me and stopped me from stepping fully into what God had for me. I had some intimacy in my relationship with God, but there were some parts of my life that I didn’t open fully to Him.
I started the internship to continue the healing of my own sexual brokenness and be equipped to share the hope and healing with those in my own church and community. Throughout the internship, I’ve been able to learn and practice what sexual wholeness looks like, as well as, what it means to be a healthy person in all the aspects of my life. I’ve learned techniques and skills that I can use to help share my story and the hope and love that I found with those around me.
I am looking forward to the future and connecting with people in my own community. I want to share my story and use it to help others find their own freedom and healing. I don’t know how that’s going to play out, but I’m going to diligently pursue it as I follow God’s lead.
