Rachel Quiroz 2020-21 Intern
When God nudged me toward the Erēmos Internship a year ago, I had no clue what He was up to. I was finishing up my second year in the Hope Together program through MVF and was just barely starting to see glimpses of how God might be able to use my journey to help others. I had been hanging on and surviving for so long, I didn't know what anything outside of that looked like. All I knew was that I had a desire to use my own experiences to help others grow in their faith and relational health but didn't have the confidence or direction to know what to do with that desire.
Once I accepted that God was asking me to step into the Internship, I began anticipating an intentional avenue where I could continue on with my own healing journey, while also learning tools and techniques for walking alongside other women who were struggling with sexual betrayal. What I was not expecting, was how closely connected both of these things were for me. God has been leading me on a journey of self-discovery by showing me how intentionally He created me, with all my unique strengths and weaknesses, and how deeply He loves what He created. As my mind and heart are learning and accepting how He sees me, I am starting to more clearly see others through His eyes and identify how He is calling me to walk alongside them. God has been using the Erēmos Internship as a way to strengthen me for my current daily circumstances, as well as, equip me for the areas He will lead me into for future ministry. I am truly grateful that I was obedient to His nudge last year and am being rewarded by His creative blessings and guidance in my life. |
